What Are Failed Items In Preventive Maintenance (Inspection)
When an inspection or preventive maintenance is performed, most times there will be a checklist with questions that will evaluate the performance of underlying asset/equipment/process.
These evaluations will either have-
- A rating or scoring mechanism or
- Simple Yes/No type answers or
- Benchmark reading criteria that these assets/processes must meet
Whenever a question is answered with a choice that doesnt meet the criteria, it’s considered as a failed item in that inspection/PM.
That is how the inspection/PM score percentage is also derived. For example, if there were 10 questions and eight met the criteria but two failed items, then the inspection/PM score would be 80%.
You can access the failed items in-
- Hover on ‘Services’
- From the drop-down menu, click ‘Failed Items’
- This lists all the failed items. You may filter the data based on statuses, customer etc., and can also access the ‘Failed Items’ Dashboard’ from here
