Understanding location hierarchy is crucial as it allows you to navigate and utilize the system effectively. As the name suggests, it's a structure of locations and sub-locations linked together in a parent-child relationship. For instance, a commercial building has multiple floors, and each floor has various cabins, conference rooms, and workspaces.
For such case, the commercial building is a location, and floors could be sub-locations. Similarly, each floor will function as a parent location and all the cabins, conference rooms, etc. will work as this floor’s sub-locations. These sub-locations will be sub-sub locations for the commercial building.
It will form the following kind of hierarchy-
Commercial Building(Location)
- Floor 1(Sub-location)
- Conference room(Sub-sub-location)
To access the location hierarchy for any location, follow these steps-
